The curtain was raised on Sunday, May 3, at the Rhodes Cup MT200 2026 by Ixian Grand & All Suites international tennis tournament. This top-notch event was held at the facilities of the Rhodes Tennis Club and was co-organized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the Hellenic Amateur Tennis Federation (EFOA), the South Aegean Region and the Municipality of Rhodes.<\/p>\n
This year's event set a historic record with 204 athletes from 13 different countries participating, confirming the potential of Rhodes on the global map of sports tourism. In addition to the high level of competition, the tournament was distinguished for its excellent hospitality, culminating in the Welcome Party on Wednesday. In an ideal break from the intensity of the competitions, the athletes had the opportunity to relax and get to know each other while enjoying a rich buffet and music from a DJ in a festive atmosphere that highlighted the social nature of the sport.<\/p>\n
The major sponsor, The Ixian Grand & All Suites, contributed significantly to the success of the event. Its practical support through the provision of prize money to the winners of the categories provided additional motivation to the players and highlighted the professional nature of the tournament.<\/p>\n
The President of the Rhodes Tennis Club, Mr. Vasilis Arapis, stated regarding the completion of the competitions: \u00abThis year\u2019s Rhodes Cup is a real milestone for our club. The presence of 204 athletes from 13 countries proves that Rhodes is now an established international tennis destination. Our goal was for the participants to live a complete experience combining the sport with authentic Rhodian hospitality, something we saw in action at the wonderful Welcome Party on Wednesday.
