Our story
Since 1949
The Rhodes Tennis Club, a member of the Hellenic Tennis Federation and the Table Tennis Federation, recognized since 1949, has been housed since its foundation until today in the facilities located next to the "Rose Hotel", at 2 Nikolaou Savva Street, where there are currently 3 courts with synthetic turf.
Since then, many local championships and international matches have been held at the above facilities, culminating in the World Tennis Championship (DAVIS CUP) between Greece and Luxembourg in 1986.

Since 1976, ROA has also built new facilities in the Karakonero area on Rhodes Kallithea Avenue, next to the Kallipateira National Sports Center, which were completely renovated in 2007 and 2009. There are 5 Life Cushion tennis courts, 3 clay courts and 1 synthetic turf court with stands, a ping pong area, men's and women's changing rooms, a disabled toilet, a gym, a clinic, a cafeteria and other auxiliary areas.
Regional, Panhellenic championships as well as the World AEGEAN TENNIS CUP were held at these facilities, while in recent years two World Tournaments of the ITF World Tennis Federation have been held for Senior and Junior athletes from all over the world.
The ROA aims to promote the sport of tennis. It trains dozens of children and adults with eight coaches and participates in the national championships continuously.

In recent years, ROA has been organizing the international tournaments ITF Rhodes Cup J60 Juniors & ITF Masters Open MT200 Seniors by Ixian Grand & Suites with the participation of athletes from all over the world. This award came after meeting the high criteria of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the absolute satisfaction of the athletes who participated!
The recognition from the ITF came to confirm the important work that has been done in recent years, at all levels.
